It was so good to see Chiamaka for a couple of days. I’ve been visiting a bunch of people for the past 4 months and it was nice to have someone visit me for a change. After picking Chiamaka up from the airport, we went to a bar to eat and watch Ecuador play Ivory Coast in a very depressing soccer game. At least I was able to drown my sorrows in good company.

On Monday, we went to Mass, brunch, and then walked around Old Town. It was 100+ degrees so we kept going into shops and galleries to cool off. After an afternoon nap, we had dinner, I ate way too much, and then we went to the Desert Botanical Garden, where we were able to see all the plants against a gorgeous sunset. They had light displays in some sections of the garden so people can enjoy it after dark.

I took Chiamaka to the airport at 5 am on Tuesday morning. We got to see the sunrise while we drove there. After sleeping for a few more hours, I drove to Sedona. Just you wait for the pictures from my days here. It’s spectacular.
